street racing/hangout spots

Anybody have favourite spots for Saturday nights and stuff like that?

I like the lake here in Oshawa, but there's never any racing...too many people around......so where's the racing spots?

I have not gone in about 7 years but I would advise against
posting the spots. This forum can be accessed by anyone.

yea, I guess that's probably a good idea eh lol.

But honestly.....how bout hangout spots? Everybody hangs out at the lake and I've never been bothered before. like I said, there'd be cops all over if there was any racing going on, but I don't think anyone cares about hangout spots.

I get together with a bunch of Stang guys from a club in the GTA
in the summer on Fridays at the Tims at 410 and Queen in Brampton.
There are usually 15 to 25 Stangs there on any given Friday. We just
shoot the **** have a couple coffees and chill. Its way cheaper then
me going to the bar in the summer.

out here in montreal there was a spot that everyone went too since the 70's if not befor, show and racing on the street a few km's away, was there every thursday night and then someone invited the import crowd and all hell broke loose and killed it for all, now if cops see a gathering on thursday night the week after they will be park as you go to pull in and pull over most cars that go by and ticket and even once i seen them tow a civic{fast car,i know the owner, turbo didn't go over well with the cops} now it's dead. the only good thing is they targeted the imports not the domestics.

meh, honda's are gay anyway. lol

but that does suck, I'd be a real dangerous person if someone tried to take my car away, even if it was the cops.....I'd also file a lawsuit since having a turbo isn't illegal and buddy wasn't racing at the time or anything.

In scarborough, there is usually big turnouts at kennedy commons at kennedy south of 401. in the summer we get some pretty big crowds and some really nice cars.

I'm not into street racing too much as it is dangerous no matter what anyone says. Me and a buddy racing on a 4-lane isn't too bad, but when you get out in a residential or commercial area and start racing people you don't know bad things can happen.
Here in Windsor, there's not any Mustang meets I know of, just a Cruise open to all makes, which is fine by me as I like all cars, haven't been in a while but planning to get to a few this spring. It's pretty sad though as the show/cruise night used to be pretty big here, but a bunch of controversy and undesireables at the shows seems to have really had a bad effect.

Only idiots and ricers race in residential and commercial areas. When I used to go to the street racers (Pre F+F) we only raced on desolate stretches of road, including deserted industrial areas. We used to race til 6-7am sometimes!!!!! Most of the time the cops wouldn't even show up.

I agree, it's stupid, to race in a residential area. A quick stop-light to stop -light is different, but all out drag racing and being stupid is for import wussies trying to prove something.

Allthough, sometimes, especially if there's not too many people around, a brake torque at a red light is cool.

I remember when the cops would come out to a race, not to bust you, but to watch.....too many ******** out there now for that anymore.

When I lived in Mississauga the hot spot was 403/Dundas Tims.
But in its glory it was the Coffee Time down street was where is was at.
