Supercharger
#6
Do as much research as possible towards what car your installing this on.
Vortech made a supercharger for the cougar/contour platform and no later the jackshaft had a 100% failling rate. No joke. It took them some time but they revised it and so far no complaints.
What I'm getting at is join your specific car related/car forum and read/research countless hours on the vortech supercharger. They probably sell used parts too.
Edit: If he can't afford a new supercharger I doubt he would be interested in a twin turbo set up.. LOL

3.8 L upgrade
If you're rocking a 3.8L ford engine out of a 94-95 stang or any of the supercoupes (cougar/t-bird), doing the m90 swap is the most economical thing you can do. Aside from reinforcing componentry in the engine itself (due to the higher pressure) throwing the stock superchargers from late eighties supercoupes are a direct bolt-on to the newer stang engine. The only thing is splicing wires. The superchargers came stock at around 13 psi of boost so that should do wonders with what you're trying to do.
