89 Octane
the mobil gas station i just went to pissed me off. first, the nozzles were labeled, but down below under where they couldnt easily be seen. second, unlike any other gas station ive EVER seen, the nozzles went 87-91-89. so i grabbed the one on the far right thinking it was 91 and noticed it was only 2.99, i was like damn cheap 91! then i found out it was stupid 89 blend crap.
to be honest though, i dont feel a difference.

I bet if you keep running it there you'll probably start to notice. If I don't run 92 octane, it pings like a mother with all the hills we have around here. Yeah, most tanks go 87, 89, 92 from left to right, so that's messed up they had it that way. We just now hit the $2.99 mark for Super Unleaded at the good stations around here.
Arco AM/PM has it for $2.81, but I'd rather eat dirt than put that watered down **** in my car. I only use Chevron ~ with Techron 92, or Texaco ~ Clean System 3. Plus I run a Fuel Injector Cleaner every "other" month.......cause running it too often isn't always a good thing.
I hate the fact I would have to spend $45.00 to fill my tank if it were on empty. I think from now on I'm gonna start filling up when it reaches the half way mark.......that way I'll only have to spend $20.00 for a full tank, and I'll never run out of gas.
I always fill my car up at a 1/4 tank anyway so I never have to worry about sucking up that crap in the bottom of my tank and clogging my fuel filter.

yeah it really wont make that much difference. i mean your talking 5 octane. not that big of deal. it will burn cleaner and cooler but wont make MUCH noticable difference in power.
i run 111 in my saturn lol

gas prices make me sad. I went 65$ 2 sundays ago on gas. and that was even when it was 2.50 a gallon not 2.70 like it is now. Damn ****** aerodyamics and crappy gas milage on my Jeep.

Maybe if we didn't have so many hills around here it might not be so bad, but even if I run the mid grade it still does it. I don't think I'd run anything in it but premium even if it had lower compression......unless I was poor and had to pinch pennies. (Been there, done that, refuse to go back)
