What did the 98z have anyway? wasn't it 305? not much more than a K&N.

No man :banghead: 305hp. I know that 98 came with the ls1.

archemedes 03-25-2005 12:17 AM

ok thought you were really confused keep in mind the mustang outweighs tha f body

red9450 03-25-2005 02:51 PM

no

these are the figures that internet auto guide has for the two vehicles, which differ by very little. Just to back it up, i'll look for more sources in case these numbers aren't good enough.
here is the search i did. came in with the 2005 GT at 3425lbs, and the 1998 Z28 at 3439.

Weight is just not an issue

archemedes 03-25-2005 10:17 PM

hmm that's strange I've always been told how heavy the mustang is, of course I haven't followed the new model much

the difference between the new model's weight, and the new edge(1999-2004),sn95 (1994-1998) is no more than a hundred lbs. either way. they stayed right around 3400 lbs. for those years, and the fox bodies were as light as 3200lbs. for a notchback.
