-_- of a day
So, my fuel gauge and my oil pressure gauge both stopped working today.
The oil pressure gauge is an easy, quick, and cheap fix.
The fuel gauge on the other hand, is none of those. I'd have to drop the tank and replace the module, which is around $500 if im not mistaken?

umm thought about an aftermarket? probably get off cheaper and it will end up being a better unit.. and i would imagine that if both stopped working at the same time that you have another issue somewhere that would cause both of them to croak simoultaneously

Did some research on it today, and just to be sure, since it was still under warrenty, I replaced my oil pressure sensor. It didnt fix it.
Which means, its in the cluster. And GM wants $300 to send off my cluster to fix it. I'll pass on that.

order a new cluster off ebay.. the mileage can be set to the proper mileage for your car easily as long as your honest.. id imagine the new cluster would fix your fuel gauge problem as well..

And if im gonna do it, i'll just grab a used cluster and deal with the mileage change. Doesnt matter anyway, the motor in it is new, so the miles wont matter. Regardless if its illegal

Do NOT manually roll the numbers on your odometer. The analog odometers are designed to show silver lines between each number when the odometer has been manually tampered with. As a result, any reasonably educated shopper will see that your mileage has been modified, and you have to now sell the car as "True Mileage Unknown", drastically reducing its re-sale at any given point, and certifiably eliminating any sort of collectible or special interest value.
You can swap the odometers easily, it just takes some work. I'm sure there is a tutorial somewhere on how to put your odometer into another gauge cluster. I've seen it on CamaroV6.com's forum I believe.
Also, 2Poor4U, you must have an early build 97. All the later 97s came with liquid crystal odometers.
