my speedo and all gauges are fine. no problems ever at all. the trip stays at 0.0 where i reset it and the odometer never moves.haha. idk, might just be a loose connection but no skin off my back.

i dont know i have a 97 30th anny one.. but yea its not a digital odometer..
and i havent ever moved my numbers lol.. so thank god no worries there on resale (like i will ever sell it HA).. but i just noticed while I was in there that it could be done easily.. good information to know about the silver lines though, never heard of that one before..
and yes you can swap the entire odometer cluster out fairly easily if i remember correctly.. i have to have my cluster apart in the next couple days I will see if I can get a write up on it

A little update:
I went ahead and got a replacement cluster on ebay for $30 shipped. Not half bad imo. Good timing too, because my tach in my cluster just started getting funky lol.
