Sorry but the 305 was in Camaro's until '92. The ONLY way to get a manual was with the 305 engine to keep buyer's from paying the gas guzzling tax. That's what the shift skip in fourth gen's was made for.

nope 350's were added very late and sporadically, if it's in the shape you say it's not worth the money he's asking I don't think the 350 was available with the stick either, a friend of mine had the same car (the spoiler was a special order option) and it was a 305 and just sold for 2500 after sitting for sale for 3 years and only had 70,000 miles (it was bought as a show car and rarely driven)

im gonna ask the guy why he thinks its a 350 and tell him it shouldnt be, im not too sure what the whole story is, most likely its a stock 305 5 speed z-28, and he figured its a 350 cause he jsut doesnt know.

yea, im gonna ask why he thinks it is or knows it is then be like o well i ran the numbers from the vin and its not and the leak pisses me off but as long as they fix it then i dont have a problem with it, but im gonna make sure they actually do fix it and not jsut clean up the area around it. does ne one nkow what he was talking about? he said like something about a pressure line or something, it was clearly oil tho. they want 4 i asked if he was negotiable and hes like no not relly, then he waited a few seconds and hes like well i hsouldnt say that.lol i was like wtf, so ill see if i can get them to give me a decent price for my car and i have a few hundred if i need some extra. hopefully i can get him down to around 3600-3700. wish me luck and thanks for the comments

yea it looks good in the pic but in real life its not as great as you think. still nice tho. i talked to my dad tonight and hes like talk to me in the morning, and he has tomorow off so i was like can you go check it out and stuff, so hopefuly he'll say yes and look at it and like it. then im off to barganing. what do you guys think i should do to make sure i dont get ripped off with the leak, if i do infact buy it. my dad thinks they will jsut powerwash the underside and give it back clean, so im not sure how i can make sure i dont get burned.ne ideas? thanks again

make sure they sign something saying the leak is fixed, if it's not you have a document to take to court

i work at a car lot (i'm not a salesman tho), we would run the car to a mechanic. and if you wanted a signed peice of paperwork officializing it, you would get it. but you can't trust 'em all. and i'd defnatly take it for a rough long (10-30 min) test drive and check it before you bring it back for a leak. the dealership should be cool with it. just make sure they think you'll make the sale, salesmen get desperate and allow more things to happen when they believe you're going to buy it. i know from experience.

Maybe its just me, but I think that the deal sounds kind of shady. If I was to try and sell a used car, I would surely make sure it started up well and that there wasn't any oil leaks......I'd be very cautious about buying it.....
