Average life span of car

Hey guys im thinking of buying a japanese car and im wondering what the average life span of a japanese car is before it dies.

lol i don't know if that was sarcasm or not, but seriously, its how well you take of care it. i know cars that have like 400+k and still going, while others blow at 250k. you could always swap a jdm engine if you want.

I'd say a good average is 15 years 300k. After that it all starts going to hell regularly. Of course maintenance is the single most important factor, I've seen cars with over a million clicks, and I've seen others blown at under 200k

Personally I'd say the most reliable cars are big ol American V8s and certain V6s... of course many disagree with me

i dunno... i have had lots of cars... they all have their issues...but in all honesty...for relaiblety 305/350 will take it... i have yet to see more than a wear out parts go on our 84 cutlass... just like alts and starters.. oh and you have to do your tune up stuff...we melted a hole in the cap...12$ fix.. sweet..

sorry to be rude but i have to say it like it is

- if you have to even THINK about buying a japanese car, then they're NOT for you.

just my opinion

but yes. JDM is the way to go

if you go with Ford or GM, you better make good friends with a lot of mechanics.
