BAD experience with Andy's Autosport

I've mentioned it before but here's the whole story. I want everyone to know how Andy's Autosport does business. I ordered a Wings West ground effects kit from them around 5 1/2 months ago. I was told it would take about two weeks to receive it. I was very patient since they were cheaper than any other place I had looked but two weeks turned into two months. I finally got a tracking number after two months for a kit they supposedly shipped. This kit never left California and was supposedly LOST by fedex. Andy's Autosport refused to ship another one until their claim with fedex was settled. I told them that the claim had nothing to do with me and they needed to ship another kit because I would not wait a day beyond three months so that if I did not have a kit in hand I could dispute the charge on the credit card. I actually wanted to cancel the order but they told me they would charge me a 10% cancellation fee of about $70. Needless to say I did not get a kit and the day before the 3 months was up I called the credit card company and disputed the charge. They tried to charge a cancellation fee anyway but I finally got that taken care of with the credit card company. I had talked to the Better Business Bureau and was told that if I hadn't received anything within 30 days of ordering and there was nothing in writing saying I was okay with waiting longer that the contract was invalid. I told them all of this.

Fast forward a month and a half beyond that and I see the fedex guy with a huge box outside on the porch. They sent another kit! By this time I had bought a brand new unused kit from a great person in Texas who shipped it to me within 3 days (private party deal). I refused to accept this new kit from Andy's Autosport. Again we called the credit card company and disputed the new charges from Andy's Autosport. TODAY I received a statement from the credit card company saying that Andy's Autosport WILL NOT refund the amount of $701.05 they charged me but will refund $345.18 . I've called and told them I will take this to court. As far as I know it is illegal to do what they did charging me again and I am going to go to the cops with this but idk wut will happen. I hope I am not out any more money from this since the time that my car's been down and all of the show's I missed and missing the entire summer with my Camaro has pretty much ruined some of it. The reason being is that I had taken the car to the body shop on a Friday originally.. ordered the kit that weekend on Saturday and since I expected to receive it within some sort of timely manner my car was sanded down and prepped and since that happened it has not left the body shop. Here are some current pictures of my car (sad to say the body shop doesn't feel any need to hurry on it however they are giving me a heck of a deal on kandy paint for it along with it's ready to be painted but a storm we had 3 weeks ago messed some things up at their shop) and then pictures of it before including where it got hit over a year ago that was the cause of me going to all the trouble of trying to get it perfect again. In addition I've bought different wheels for it.. it's not going to have the grill any more etc.

That is a horrible story. Sorry you have had all that trouble. I hope it all works out. I would go to the police and see what can be done. It can't hurt. Good luck and keep us posted as to the final outcome. I feel for ya.

I called up my uncle (he's a cop) and he told me it's a civil matter not criminal and if I can't get it settled with the credit card company then I'll have to go to small claims court :banghead:

Kind of like what happened with my Pacesetter headers. Had to buy mine elsewhere from the place I originally bought them. Took 3 months before they could tell me they can't do anything and that FedEx has to deal with their warehouse shipper. I basically gave up. Hope things turn out for the better for you. Keep pushing this to the max so that others recognize what type of business they're dealing with.

I have posted it here, CamaroZ28, SVTPerformance and DSMTalk (got deleted there cuz I need to post in the vendor review section not the lounge ). Today has been pretty ****** I wanted to take out some frustration tonite by goin cruising and having some fun with my DSM.. but all I ended up doing was goin about 5 mins from my house to buy oil (needed to get some) and on the way back to my house my Eclipse started acting crappy and not sounding right or accelerating right :banghead:

I kinda forgot to mention in the original post that the reason the credit card company won't refund it all is cuz Andy's Autosport is lying and saying I agreed to reorder it when they got the gfx in stock and they only made a temporary refund the first time it was disputed.
