best street tire to use?

ok... so im in the process of getting rid of the 17" rims that every1 saw on my black bubble for the last couple of years and i picked up a set of 15s...

now im stumped as to what tire to use... i DO know i want 205/50/15s but...

...like a lot of you kno, my car spun tires like a bitch last year and i need something with an fairly agressive bite BUT i want something that i can drive daily on the street (regardless of how fast im gonna kill the tread), occasionally race with and something thats fairly decent in the rain...

im hoping to hit the 300whp mark for the spring and im goin to pick up a set of drag radials to toss on for the weekend...

ANY SUGGESTIONS???

My tire of choice is Yokohoma AVS Sport. Max performance radial, good for all weather. Expensive though, at least in my sizes it is.

Mickey Thompson ET Streets. Or in your case, Drags. No ET Streets in a 24" size yet.

She said she is buying DR's for weekend. But yes, those would be the ideal DR's to buy....

For the street/roadcourse I am using Falken RT615's and have been pleased with them so far. I have 4 k street miles, 2 track days, and 1 trip to the strip so far and wear has been pretty decent. Im am trying out the MT ET street drag radials this year for the strip.

How about Nitto 555R's? I heard that they are the one DR that are really streetable for everyday use. Guys with heavy azz z28's are reporting that they can get 15K miles from a set, so it would only stand to reason that they should last just as long if not longer on your car.

Bf Drag radials, they're a handful to drive with if it's wet at all though. They grip like a **** in dry weather.

If you're concerned about a softer compound tire wearing out too fast, don't let them spin so much. Try different ways of launching your car, and find a RPM that the car launches best at without frying the tires. If they break loose in gear, back off the throttle. Not only does it save tires but you accelerate quicker too. This way you have a nice soft sticky tire and you don't have to replace it every month.

Nitto's are the worst of all the drag radials.

Most good street radials hook better than nittos....they are good for street use since they will take the most milleage of any DR, but they don't hook very well.

Don't have a write up.

Every mustang/supra guy I have talked to that drag races says nittos suck compared to all the other drag radials.
