Check the junk yards for an MPV with a v6. It may have the same v6 with a bigger throttle body. Other than than, try rx7's etc for the same throttle body. Making one bigger may not be do-able. I used a vw gti tb on my engine because it was the biggest one available short of a full race one. I wanted the car drivable.

i wish it were that easy, my tb has a different style iac then most other mazda engines, i know i can go up to 70mm but i havent found a reputable shop in my area and want a good job done on mine, the problem with getting ur tb bored is not the actual boring, its getting a new butterfly and having it sit right so ur idle isnt at 2500rpm, thanks tho

Well it was anice thought. Try some specialty machine shops. Any good shop should be to bore it and match the butterfly to it. But yeah that would suck if they couldn;t match it properly. But look on the bright side. You wouldn't have to worry about stalling it. I'll ask a friend of mine and pm you monday about a good machinist. Unfortunately the guy that did my head and intake was killed on his bike last summer or I'd send you to him. Where are you located, and I'll get back to you. PM me if you don't want your info on TSR.

check out george bush.....used to be leitner and bush until bush opened his own place. Anyways, he did mine. I have a honda civic with a b16, the t/b was 60mm and i got it bored to 64mm b/c you can only bore so much, i don't know if this is the same for mazda's. But he used a new larger butterfly and its mint. I don't have any idle problems.
