broke the timing chain

hey guys, so today i leave to go to my friends house and the iroc just ******* dies at the first stop i make. so, i try and start it up again since this happened once. the last time it died was because it over heated and i replaced the thermostat and it ran cool again. anyways, so i figure, why not ask a friend to come by and give me a jump, since it could be the battery. so after the unsuccessful jump and a few more failed starts later, i figured out that the belts were turning when i tried to start it. this mean i had now compression. a call to my dad and a 5 minute conversation later we figure out the timing chain is broken, andnow we have A LOT of ******* work to do, >_<
this is a great way to start my college summer vacation.
