converting from drum to disc break

hey guys, im thinking of changing my rear drum brakes to disc brakes, i got a couple of questions, 1st, is it same as changing disc brakes? 2d, anything i should beware of ? 3rd, what breake pads, calipers, and disc should i get (as in brand wise), and lastly, where do i go to do it for a economical price, let's say i provide the parts, they just have to do the labour. thnx for the reply! help is greatly appreciated since i really dont know much about cars.

What car do you own, juding from your avatar you must own a mustang, if you do there are companies that sell rear disc converion kits, here is some info on how to install SSBCs rear disc conversion http://www.mustangmonthly.com/techar...rums_to_discs/ also a link on how to convert to 5 lug http://mjbobbitt.home.comcast.net/mustang/5lug.html and how to convert drum to discs on a budget (scroll down) http://mjbobbitt.home.comcast.net/mustang/4lug.html as far as pads and rotors go it depends on what you have up front, if you have normal pads and rotors up front theres no piont in putting aftermarket parts in the rear.

If you own a Civic go here http://www.diynet.com/diy/shows_dtrk..._40569,00.html
