Yep, so there is this crazy girl I've been hanging out with and yesterday she calls me up and is like "You wanna drive my friends brand new WRX tommarow?" ... I tell her that I'm really not that into those cars, but sure I would ... Why not drive a car of someone I don't even know? Lets see if you can really feel the seat of the pants feel that you could in my Z. She rolls up in this black WRX with black rims, an STi spoiler, shaved door handles, red and black interior and about 6 different gauges. The thing looked alright, even though that spoiler makes me sick. The whole time I was hoping she wouldn't try to say it's way faster than my car, cuz I HATE going off on "ah hell no" rants to girls who dont really know what they are talking about. Anyway, she procceeds to say "Oh, and its WAAAY faster than your car" ... ... ... It MIGHT be AS fast, but no way its WAY faster.

I stayed cool and was like "I'll be the judge of that" ... knowing that it is a 13 second car, but stock they are a high 13 second car I think (keep in mind this isnt an STi) ... SOOO anyway, I get in kinda excited to rally in someone elses car. Well... it was fun. The thing doesn't throw you into your seat, but it kinda eases you back, then at about 4-6 grand pushes you back cuz of the turbo. The turbo sounded nice but it just didn't do it for me. Sooo, the car was fun to rally down this river road, but all together the car was too loud and obnoxious and I was missing having torque at almost every RPM 2+. It did get up and hit 120 pretty quick though ...

So anyway, it was fun ... but I REALLY have to put my new radiator in and show this girl 6 speeds with 3.73s ran by 300 or so naturally aspirated horses.

Oh yeah, and I attempted to tell her that if I put a turbo on my car, it would put the WRX to shame ... She totally disagreed.

Id sadly have to say that I might take a STI WRX over a z28... those things are quick and respond really well to power. Her Imprezza is probably not that quick tho haha... I love how people who have a decently quick car thinnk its the quickest thing ever... But yeah, definitly rip through the first few gears of tire and make her shut up hahahah

ive seen a few imports that would put your car to shame. if done right the 4 and 6cyl cars kill.

If someone has money, you better bet theyre pretty quick. I dont even really like SRT4s for example, but god they can get pretty quick with barely anything at all. I think the decently priced imports are pretty nice... Supras, 350s, Infinitis, Some Nissans, Subaru, ect.. I actually like a lot of those.

Dude, thanks for posting the obvious. Do you not think I know that? There is ALWAYS a car that could put your or my car to shame. This is a STORY. We are talking about THIS car. We are talking about THIS girl bringing THIS particular car. Thanks for talking, but I think we all already knew that.

lol, yeah but the funny thing is, it wasn't even her car. She brought over a friend of a friends car!! And she didn't know ANYTHING about it, except that is OMG SO FAST!! Yeah, I don't think she's ever been in a fast american car. I'll show her one. And if thats not enough I'll borrow my buddies 2006 GTO ... or his friends 9 second blown chevelle ... and if thats not enough I'll borrow his friends' friends' complete drag camaro with ~1200 HP.

LoL ... did you not hear what I just said? I said there will ALWAYS be a car faster than mine ... ALWAYS. Do you really think me saying that its quick but not my cup of tea is talking ****? ... Hmm ... interesting. Oh, and if/when I do get my *** handed to me by a 4 banger I'll give him a handshake. I am only a 13 second car ... There are TONS of cars that can wh00p me. Can you realize that I know that already???? I appreciate foreign cars, I just wouldn't buy one. I have to go to work now, but as soon as I get back I sure hope I don't have to repeat myself agian.

but yea i hate **** who, oh well it should run a 13.2 or so, but they dont knwo for sure cause they've never been to the track they only street race. if they ever did get to the track tho, totally different story, have fun launching and getting some driving time in. people talk so much and dont know ****.

also, if its the WRX im thinking of, the front end looks like a goats ***. you could imagine.

Funny thing is there is even some people who ride in my car when I'm stabbin it, and then they are like "Dude ... Take it to the track, I'll bet you 20 bucks you could hit a mid 11" ... Then I'm just like "Haha thanks, but no way in hell it could do an 11" ... It makes me feel good about my car, but they know about drag racing about as much as a rock would.

Anyway, yeah it was a fun experience to sneak into enemy territory. Haha, Just kiddin. You know whats crazy? This girl told me that if I want, she will borrow her friends friends brand new Yamaha R1, drive it to my house, and let me rally that thing for awhile. This girl really knows the key to a guys heart. Speed.

X2 , but i personally love the subaru WRX STI the imprezza isnt bad either they just seem like well designed good cars that are pretty damn fast IMO

Hope you have ridden a lot of bikes if you are going to hop on a new R1 and rally it...its WAY more bike than probably 70% of riders will ever have the ***** to use.

You know whats worse is when you do have a fast car and people automatically have it out for you. I wish I had a dollar for everytime someone said "Once I get my blah blah blah installed I'm gonna smoke Joe's Z" or "Well I'll just bring my cousin's blah blah in from x-ville and he'll smoke you." The funniest part of all is that I don't go around racing people and talking trash about other cars. While imports aren't my thing, I give people credit when they can crank out a lot of horse with half the cubes/litres.

I am not arrogant nor do I think my car is all that, in fact I think my car isn't much at all compared to a lot of cars out there. It just sucks that because so many other in my town fly around in their 14 sec import and think they are all that, that I automatically get the same rep by default just because I'm that much faster...Rant over..

Anyway, I'm sure that Subaru was fun to drive, if I had to pick a daily driver, a WRX would make a good one around here. Decent on gas and all-wheel drive for the winter, but yet has a little snot when you wanna go fast...what could be better??
