Drove the Cadillac CTS...
With my new line of work, I've been needing a daily driver, something comfortable, rear drive, that I can put stuff in, like monitors, computers, tools, cabling, etc.
So I looked and looked, and the Cadillac CTS offered all that, PLUS I could get it in an M6, and the lease payment was dirt-cheap. I was sold before I even drove it.
...and then I drove it.
I have never been so heart-broken and disappointed in my life. The seats were amazing, nice and grippy, with good side bolstering. The dash was reported stolen by a poor Chevy Cobalt, however. Terrible. Didn't deserve the Cadillac badge on it. The manual transmission was sloppy like a $5 hooker. And the handling was atrocious.
Take into account that it was the 2.8L DOHC @ 201 horsepower, but felt remarkably slower than my V6 F-Body did when it was first stock, let's say I'm not happy, and won't be taking delivery of one.
My aunt's fiance is looking into a Dodge Magnum R/T for me, black w/ grey leather (I wish they came in ebony leather), U-Connect Hands-Free, 6-Disc, Moonroof, etc.
Buyer beware... the Cadillac CTS is crap unless you go to the CTS-V.

Check the different boards for the CTS-V and you'll see a lot of people having problems with the cars breaking on them. Even thoughs that don't push them.
I think it's unfortunite because I love the CTS-V but the only thing I've heard good things about is the LS6.

I'm having a real dilemma here because I can't get comfortable in the Magnum R/T, either.
It seems these years of driving a slung back F-Body have finally made all other cars... suck *****. :\ Every time I sit in the car, I want to have the seat positioned like my Camaro, but of course, it won't adjust enough to allow me to do so.
I don't know what I'm gonna do, guys. I like the Audi A4, but around here it seems to be too much of a chick car. I need a practical vehicle for work, but I'm so picky, it seems impossible without going to something like a BMW or a Merc.

I just don't feel confident when sitting in the car. The handling isn't what I want it to be. I'm starting to realize horsepower isn't as important as how I feel driving the car.
M3 = Too much bloody money to get new.

Finally bought a car!
Today, at 8:02 PM MST, I signed my name on the dotted line, and bought a 2006 BMW 325i Sedan, in Arctic Metallic, with black leather interior.
Absolutely beautiful car. I loved the look, loved the feel of the seats, and the handling was just... *shudder* orgasmic. It's like the car knows what you want to do, at the precise moment you decide to do it. I cannot think of a better handling car right now. Everything just feels tight and well built.
I am home... I am a BMW owner. I pick her up on Saturday. Getting a full detail and a polish.
