my argument was " when getting on the interstate and trying to merge safely I need to accelerate faster than everyone else"

heh, i'm always like "well, you know, i need the power so when a car is merging over into my lane, i can just speed up to avoid a terrible accident that could kill me, is that reason enough?" heh.

I would get a radar to show him its possible to get away with speeding.

Having a radar detector is 30% of the battle.

Your eyes are 70%.

All the tickets I have gotten, I have had my radar detector on, and they have rarely gone off. Not to mention that if they peg you with laser, then your radar detector will just simply tell you in polite words: youre ******.
