Exhuast??
I have a question how loud do you think duel flowmaster 40s that dump at my rear axle will be. I want something louder that what I have plus my Y pipe is a T-pipe no joke the drivers side comes in a 90 degree angle. I have heard that a good exhuast system on my car is worth about 25-30 Horsepower just because the stock is so restrited? I was think if it is not real loud at ldle but roars when you open it up that would be perfect. I have two flowmaster 40s I am thinking of putting them on but I don't want it to be outraguslly (spelling??) loud what do you think how loud would it be??

40s are pretty loud but they shouldn't but annoyingly loud, are you planning on running an h or x, cause that will affect the sound. also if its too loud after youre done u can always throw cats on, thatll tone it down and deepen it

3rd gen exhaust is pretty much the same as 4th-
Flowmaster sells a muffler specific for F-bodies, but IMO if you want more sound and more performance, you should just invest in a full exhaust- get a nice cat-back and a set of headers and you should see that motor perk right up-

Ok well I went and got a quote for both full and dumps. The full is $375 with 3 inch pipe and a new camaro flowmaster single inlet and duel outlet with 3 1/2 inch chrome tips. The dumps are $175 they are going to put the them right where the cat goes on the passanger side and the driver side is going to go in the same place on the drivers side it has a indent on that side also. I rode in my friends stang with 40s they are real loud untill you get on it and that is exacty what I want so I think I am going to go with that. cause it sounds awesome on his car I know it will sound a little different on a chevy small block but I think it will be nice.

the 3.5 are too big for my car I went and looked at them and the guy put them on my car they were to big. But it doesnt matter casue I am going to get the dumps put on as soon as I get the money cause tomarrow I am going to get my car looked at the (timing problem) but I just cant seem to get it right it backfires if you get on it. Or if you adjust it the other way it just misses so I am taking it to the guy that put my tranny in casue he knows what he is doing and I dont when it comes to timing.
