Finally bought a new car...

... and as far as what I bought, I don't think anyone saw it coming, I know I sure didn't.

The All-New 2007 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sahara - Black (Looks much MUCH sweeter in person)

Specs:
- 3.8-Litre V6 SMPI Engine
- Command-Trac Shift-on-the-Fly Transfer Case
- Dana 44 Heavy-Duty Rear Axle
- 3.21 Axle Ratio
- 6-Speed Manual Transmission
- Premium Cloth Low-Back Bucket Seats
- P255/70R18 Outline White Letter On/Off-Road Tires
- 18" Aluminum Wheels painted Silver Sparkle
- Dark Khaki Hardtop
- 368W 7-Speaker InfinityŽ Sound System Incl. Subwoofer
- AM/FM Stereo Radio w/In-Dash 6-Disc DVD/MP3 Player
- Air Conditioning
- Power Convenience Group
- Deep Tint Sunscreen Windows
- Dual Top Group with Matching Colours
- Front and Rear Floor Mats
- Tubular Side Steps
- Trac-Lok Differential Rear Axle

Reasons I didn't originally consider it:
1. I thought it was going to be a harsh ride, like a Jeep TJ... I was wrong. The wheelbase is longer than a Grand Cherokee, and the ride is quite nice.
2. I didn't think it would be practical for my job, as I do drive around quite a bit, and I need to carry a ton of stuff with me... I was wrong, the interior room and comfort is awesome, and there is ample room in the back for all my equipment.

So there you have it, I finally got a new car. I pick it up on October 20th (they're doing a 'new vehicle showcase' and my Wrangler is one of the vehicles they're showing). Best part of all... my neighbours won't be able to hear me when I come home late. :thumbsup

You damn old school Jeep enthusiasts will never learn to appreciate advances in off-road technology.

do the doors actually lock on them? On the regular ones you can unlock them pretty easy (I did one in a parking lot for a guy who locked his keys in it)

The doors actually lock, yes. It even has keyless entry and power windows.
