Ford CEO Drive's a Lexus

http://www.leftlanenews.com/2006/09/...rives-a-lexus/

What an idiot, I hope he loses his job over this. What kind of car CEO goes out of their way to drive a different companies car and then tell everyone about it and then to top it off say you don't care what your people think that the cars you build are crap compared to it?!

If he want's a car like that why doesnn't he just drive a Land Rover, Aston Martin, or Jaguar? They are all owned by Ford.

he's too stupid to run a company (and don't think Bill Ford will let it go either)

i think the important thing to realize is what the top-most comment says on the website at the moment

let me get this straight… a $65,000.00 lexus is better than a $40,000.00 Lincoln or a $35,000.00 Ford?

say it isn't true!!! I would hope to God that the top-of-the-line lexus is better. Ford does not even pretend to compete against it.
It makes sense to me...
I wouldn't want to be restricted in what i bought just cuz i was the ceo of ford...
haha i'd be buyin cars left and right from all different kinds of makes and models.

I wouldn't mind. I mean Ford owns(or at least a nice portion of): Ford, Lincoln, Mercury, Mazda, Volvo, Jaguar, Land Rover, and Aston Martin. I'm pretty sure I can find myself some nice cars in that lineup. Personally I'd rather drive an Aston Martin V8 Vantage over the Lexus anyways.

exactly, I've worked on many lexus, and they are not the best built cars in the world (they are decent cars, but not in an aston martin class, or even most jags)

On one hand, I used to sell Ford AND Dodge, but I drove a Chevy. I believe in driving what YOU like, not what your employer tells you to drive (unless it's free).

On the other, I wasn't impressed with the LS430. Toyota is the most overrated manufacturer in the world. Lexus' is okay, but I'd say they're right up there with Infiniti and Acura. Nothing too spectacular. If I had that guy's money, I'd be rolling a Mercedes CLS-65 AMG.

the problem is if your the guy telling the world to buy your product, and you won't there is a problem. I agree on the lexus and toyota too.

i mean if i was a ceo of ford, i would still drive whatever car i wanted whether it was a ford or not, but being the ceo of a company your supposed to be professional, and saying the stuff that he was saying about it was not professional...he should drive whatever car he wants and not brodcast to the world his opinion about it.

he was not expected to last anyway though, he came in saying many bad things about the Ford family (great way to start a job dissing the boss and his family)
