Found a Bodyman to finish my SS hood
Well, as most of you know by now, my former friend that did all my bodywork and paint for the last 17 years is history, so I've had to try and locate someone else to finish my hood for me.
It took me a couple days to realize that my Brother-in-Law, who restores Olds Cutlass's, just recently finished a 76 Stingray Vette that he bought. He's also best friends with the owner of Kenny's Auto Rebuild, so I thought why not ask him?
Turns out he's going to finish the sanding on the hood and get it ready to paint (for free)
He also told me that the painter at the shop would probably paint it for $200.00, so it looks like I'm back in business, and at a killer price to top it off.
I go pick the hood up at 1:00 tomorrow and take it to him so he can get started on it right away. If I'm lucky, I should have it no later than the first weekend in May.

Yep.....I just got back from taking it over to my Brother in law's house. I know he has a lot of other work to do, but he said he should be able to get it ready for paint in about a week.
I'm going over there this Saturday to cut out the intake hole on it. He said he doesn't want to mess it up and have the hole turn out crooked, so I told him not to touch it.....I'll come do it. (It's because I have an aftermarket SS hood, with a stock SS grill insert.......and since the cut-out line on the hood is bigger than the insert, I get to improvise.)
