GM Goodwrench tools?

Are they any good? I'm thinking of about asking for an 80pc set for my B-Day.

I've always loved my Craftsman and I've never had a problem with ANY of them but if I did I can just take it back and get a new one without any problems.

Plus get something larger than an 80pc set, that'll really limit what you can do.

x2, if you break any thing from craftsman you can bring it right back for a brand new one. and you should really see if you can get a realy big set and just go all out. that would be a lot easier and probably smarter.

Goodwrench also come with a life time warranty, I looked for bigger set but the biggest they have is an 80 piece set.

Snap On doesn't have the warrently Craftsman does but it's one of the highest quality tool out there. Two of my uncle's are mechanics and one own's his own shop and they both use Snap On.
I have a pretty large collectiong myself. Best thing I ever did was buy my roll away tool box set along with my air compressor.

isnt snap on like more expensive then anything? craftsman is good quality lifetime warranty at a not too bad price.

My uncle has a set of goodwrench tools they are pretty nice they arnt cheaply built they hold up pretty good but he does'nt use them like you probally will casue I do all the work on his truck but I have used them before I am not sure about the warranty but they are nice!

camaro94 01-01-2005 11:34 AM

most tools now (except for the really cheap ones) come with a lifetime warranty. The only difference with Craftsmen's warranty is that it is an unconditional warranty. Which means if you use a wrench as a hammer and break it, they'll give you a new one. Whereas with the other brands you only get a new one if the tool breaks while you were using it properly.

Whis is why Ryan only will get Craftsmen.
