the stall is to get the engine in the correct power band so cam makes the biggest difference (if you order from tci direct they won't even place the order without cam specs) it sounds like your doing the work backwards (I see that alot with the 4th gen guys) gears are a supporting mod to match engine parts (it's also dependant on cam)

most old skool rulez still applie nothing has really changed except electronics and fuel injection... with the stall and gears if the pc isnt tunes your cars gonna be confused on when to shift.. cuz it wont know what the hells goin on back there..
