guys i really need help

So I thought I had fixed that stupid problem with the windows/stereo... I go out to change my turn signal bulb today that I had just replaced no more than 2 months ago, and i see that the bulb had been burned.. not just the bulb itself, but the plastic casing it was in, and the connecter inside... I thought the bulb had burned out from the condensation inside the light, that and the combination of it raining, and I had to drive through like 6 inches of water from the flash flooding last week... anyway, Im starting to think I have a short somewhere because my radio is once again turning off for no reason along with my power windows, and im a little concerned about the burning bulb. I took out my center console, and took the stereo out to see if there was a loose connection or somthing, but found nothing. I hooked the stereo back up and it turns on, but then i would turn the key to turn it off and on right away, and it wouldnt work??? I dont get it.. I dont get why it would just work one second and not the next untouched. I need help guys, this is driving me crazy, and I just wanna get it fixed. Thanks in advance

get a test light, unhook the neagative battery cable, connect the test light between th battery and cable, it will probably light. Start pulling fuses until the light goes out, that is the circuit with the short (I'm betting it's an accessory circuit) check the window switches 9had one in the gp short and the radio came on, but the key was in my pocket) the melted housing is not uncommon, I don't know what casues it, but the high mount in the gp has one bulb that melted the plastic, and it's not sealed, and is inside the car

Where can you get a hold of a replacement housing/connector?

Well, we sell them at work but I figure a generic one that fits all Chevys is just as good as the dealership model.

nobody has a solution for me? I think it has to do with the burning housing, and the bulb being burnt, theres obviously somthing wrong there... i havent checked the second burnt bulb yet, but Im gonnna bet its burnt just like the other one.. Should i replace the whole housing, or is the problem deeper than that?

i noticed there is still condensation in the light, but would that acutally make the housing burn like that? I know, Ill never fix the leak in the light

condensation shouldn't, but it could be shorting the harness

I talked to people yesterday, and Im almost convinced its a loose ground somewhere, or if not that, a short, but Im leaning towards the ground. Ill have to get a test light and maybe find out what it is this weekend.
