if they are roller tehy don't have to come out they have a grove and can be turned a little to stay out of the way. to do the timing set it to tdc before starting the tear down, get a new timing set, and water pump since they'll be off anyway and are high wear items

When I start my build up I know I'm going to have tons of questions. I know nothing about installing a crank, rods, and pistons. Cam should be easy to do though.

well the 8 hours was taking it all apart, taking everything off and cleaning em off and removing the radiator and accessories and stuff and the power steering pump pulley does need a certain tool. and the pulley has to come off cuz theres a few bolts behind it that hold the pump on. it sucks

and i have a 6er. 3.4. check my progress jes, i'm sure you'd be interested, page 2 gets good :
