Heehee!

i just had an epifany (major sp). i will save 5 or 6 grand like i've been planning, then spend 1000 on an lt1 that doesnt run, rebuild it with a 383 stroker kit for 2 grand and an lt4 converison kit for 2600. then after i finish building the car and get it running i'll sell carmen and use that money for a vortech supercharger, LTs, and some ZR1s with 11"s in the back

dam i cant wait! look out LS1ers!

1000 should get a running lt1, I've seen a few in junkyards for $800 with under 100,000 miles

sounds like a good idea... you could always save up the 5-6 grand + sell ur car for around 5 give or take some.. then look on ebay and u can buy supercharged camaros or even one with a lt4 kit for around 10 grand. but then again i understand that fact that 'built not bought' comes into play there, its always more satisfying to know u made something badass instead of buying it that way.

yeah i really wanna tear apart an LT1. that would be really fun. but tonight i got myself a quote for insurance on the lt1 and the v6. its not as bad as i thought: $231 a month! and thats not with cheap coverage either. its really decent coverage. i think theres a multiple vehicle discount. so maybe i'll keep carmen so that i can make this a long term project. like have the 6 as my daily driver and work on the z slowly over a period of time. ****** danielle was right. i changed my mind.

of course I was. And if you want to drop the insurance even more, pick a lesser car as a "daily driver" and put liability on it. It dropped mine by almost $100 a month with my dodge as a daily driver/work vehicle.

i could never be seen in something like the typical daily driver. and i've developed too much of a love for carmen. and since i'm doing my senior project with the heads and cam, i cant sell it now!

yoou think I like driving the dodge? I only do it when I have too. I tell them its a work car, but when the weather's nice, you know what I'm taking. I don't want to sell the car, even if I get another vehicle, cause it helps keep the insurance down off the camaro.
