I made a decision
I have been thinking and looking at engine kits online at powerhouse and I was looking at the 335 stroker but it looks good I can build a 350 alot cheaper. So I am going to go the junk yard here and there are 350 4 bolt mains in vans that just get crushed all the time. So I dicided to get a 350 and start building it as I get the money which in aug. when I turn 18 I am going to start full time at publix
. I an going to get the balanced 350 kit with KB pistons and I think it was a scat crank it is 499$. and I want to make it TPI and get the heads ported and intake and all ported I want it to turn about 6500 RPMs or so. I just dont like the redline at 5000 it really sucks so that is a long term goal but I dicided that would be better than trying to build up the 305 I have now :banghead: . After I get the motor build I am thinking of getting a T-56  to go behind it but this is a long term goal. I just think it would be better to go pull a 350 in the next couple weeks than try and get a couple extra horsepower out of the 305. it is a short block with heads for 100$ at the junkyard where I live
. Tell me what oyu think of my Idea

that would be nice as hell.you can get full TPI units and setups with complete wiring and everything you'll need from thirdgen.org. go to the classifieds. They have a lot of good used stuff there. hope that helps.
Go carbed...stock TPI ull have fun tryin to get power to 6500rpm, also gonna need custom chip burning. Up 2 u man but ya 350 over a 335 any day. Not worth it bro. Ur doin the right thing. As for induction, id and maybe 1 or 2 other people on this site would go carbed. Up 2 u tho.

I have a carb now it is alright but I might start traveling more I like the TPI cuase there are less keep up workon it than a carb. correct me if I am
I have a website of a guy that ported his TPI and got it to pull past 6500RPMs I forget teh site but I will try and find it. I know stock they have problems past 5000RPM. If I got with TPI I will have it ported and polished. my friend that i got the alfas from has a flow bench in his house and knows all about porting heads so I think i will have him help me.

yeah that's what most of the pro engine builders use, then if you want extra strength add splayed caps, you can't do those with a 4 bolt they will crack around the outer bolts usually on the I think it was the third cap

those are splayed caps the bolts are angled to relieve stress
