this is why you never have a friend do the work, always stay and help with it, number one you learn something, number 2 they can't take advantage of you over "real" customers (I know your paying, but figure if your a friend it's not as much as it should be)

Well, Arch......I sure wish I had more friends that thought the way you do. :(
Unfortunately my friendship with him ended tonight. His excuses didn't work for him like they have in the past. He said that as a friend he wasn't charging me as much to do the hood than if it were someone off the street. Therefore he felt it was more important to do these other side projects that paid more, and he'd get back to mine when he could.

I reminded him that he's had my hood since November 1st, and that I've been more patient and understanding than any other person alive, but even I have my limitations. I said to him, "so if I was paying you $1000. to do it instead of the $500 that's already over what I've paid you, would you finish it now"? When he said yes, I told him to go F**K himself, and he just proved to me that money meant more to him than our friendship.

I told him that I couldn't get up to his work on Monday, but I will be there on Tuesday forsure between 1:00pm and 4:00pm. I also told him that if he even thought about touching that hood out of anger,...that's when he stopped me and said: "I'm not stupid Arch, I don't want to end up in the hospitol.....I need my hands to make money". He said that because I threatened to break his left arm, (he's a southpaw) so that he couldn't work and make his Precious money.

He made this about money which really pissed me off, cause after 17 years of friendship, he decided to just finish these other jobs that he got last week. He didn't even have the Balls to call me and tell me what was going on, I had to call his cell again and threaten to show up at his work on Monday, and beat his A$$ in front of all his co-workers. That's when he finally called me this evening, and said OK, come get your hood.

Now I have to try and find somebody else that can finish what he started. He actually got all the glass work done, so now it just needs a top skim coat of bondo, sanded down and put in primer so I can have it sprayed white.

You know what this means don't you?.....NO FLAMES! :mad: So I guess it will just be the white SS hood, paint the roof panel black (not the mirrors) and paint the center posts on my wheels black. That's all....:(
