And now here it is....5 Freakin days later,.... and he's STILL giving me the run around! GGGRRRRRR:banghead: MAN,....I swear this is the last time I ever trust this so-called friend of mine.......and if it wasn't for the fact that I already paid him, (so he could buy the materials and pay his parts bill) I would go take my Mods back from him, and just have someone else paint them!

So,..now he's telling me they'll be painted by Friday, and that we'll install them on Saturday! I swear as my life depends on it......if they're not painted and on my car by the end of this weekend, (1/15/06) not only will I take my stuff back from him, I'll make his boss pay me the $400.00 I gave him, and tell him to garnish his check! OH YEAH,....if it comes to that,....our friendship will definitely be in jeopardy, and that's simply cause I know he's had time to go out and get smashed at his brothers house, but only enough time to give me excuses,.......I'm done with his S**T for the last time!

I'll let you know what transpires ~

He-He-He,......well, I don't know about that.....as much as I'd like to do that sometimes, we go back too far for that. That's only a last resort for me these day's,......one more assault charge and go away for a full stent.(the last one was bad enough) So,...while I'm sure you were prolly kidding and just making light of the comments I made in my last post,...(which I thought was pretty funny myself ) .......I don't condone this this kind of thing, unless absolutely nessesary!

my friend is the same way if him or his dad or his dads friend try to do something it takes like a year thats why i just try to do as much as i can my self but good luck

Hope it all turns out ok for ya..the wait is long, but keep in mind the longer you keep them off in the winter, the less likelihood you have of getting them chipped up.

I only wish it was a matter of procrastination,.........this guy is really starting to get on my last nerve! I had my car lowered at the shop he works for, on 12/23/05. That night, when I picked my car up,..... he told me how bad he felt about taking so long, that he promised me they would be painted, and on the car within two weeks. (let's not forget that I already paid him 2 months ago to get the job done)

Well, Jan. 6th was two weeks, and here I am....11 days later still Bitc*'n about it. Now,...I have an appointment this Friday to bring my car back in, to have everything re-torqed, and all the zerk fittings re-greased. So,.....I told him if he didn't have them finished by then, (so that we could install them while it's up on the lift) well,...he'd be jeapordizing a 17 year friendship! I told him this is his last chance to make this situation right with me, cause damn it,.....I WANT MY FRIGGIN PARTS BACK AND ON MY CAR!!!!!:banghead:

Sorry man, I know I post some Long-A$$ messages, but when I have to go through this kind of BS,....I need some place to Vent. It just bugs the crap out of me knowing that I've had these Mods for 3 months, and there just sitting in a shop not getting finished,......especially when I've already paid to have them painted, AND.... bought all the materials to do the job!

Ok, I'm done.......we'll see what happens this Friday!

Wow, I just don't understand why he's put it off that long. I understand things come up and it get's pushed back a week or so but after so many month's you'd figture he'd have time to finish it up.
My body guy picked up my gfx and hood on Friday night and I had the car Sunday around noon with everything done so I know it doesn't take that long to do.

I understand what you are going through. The guy that was originally supposed to paint my car gfirst said he'd have it done by the first week of Sept., then it got pushed back, and he last week of September, no problem... Well, my car still isn't painted and he's not the one doing it when it does this April, either. He still owes my husband the $500-1000 in that my husband paid him by working in his shop for 3-4 months. So this week, my husband is going to get payment, in the form of a 1979 Trans Am that the guy owns that my husband sold to him this summer, but they never switched the title, and never had it removed from his insurance. So its still my husband's car. And yes, this means that WidowMaker is coming back home. I told Ryan he'd regret parting with the old beast.

I can totally sympathize with YOUR situation as well. I think that's part of the problem that we're both facing,......we have friends that are suppose to give us a better deal on our painting, ect... but when it comes to actually getting the work done, they come up with all these excuses as to why it's taking so long!

In my case, my friend of 17 years, has always told me....."If you ever need anything painted, bring it to me and all give you a better deal." Now in the past, it hasn't been this much of a problem, simply because he's always had is own shop. Well,....in the past two years, he's gotten divorced, and his brother left to work for someone else. Making a long story short,....he lost his own business and went to work for a buddy about 6 months ago.

I knew it would take him a couple weeks to convince his new boss to let him use the paint booth for side projects,......but when he started telling me a month ago, that everything was ok'd by his boss, and that he would have my parts painted over the weekend, I BELIEVED HIM!!!!!
Ever since then,....it's been nothing but EXCUSES!

Sweet WidowMaker is comin back, I dont know if you remeber them pics i posted of my bandit and there was a 79 formula in the backround it was one of my dads friends and he just had it sittin down here cuz he moved i just bought it off him last week im just waitin to get the title transfered so thats another project haha
