Just got owned by a dead battery.
Went out to my car at 9AM to leave for college and my car just makes a clicking sound. I looked back at my digital cap and saw a reading of 10 volts. The night before when I left for work my car didn't want to start. I thought it was because I had left my UB kit on to long so I just rode around for a while until I thought the battery was charged, guess it wasn't enough. Funny thing is I put the battery on the tester at work not to long ago and the battery tested fine. I can't complain though, this is the same battery that came with the car.
As you can see it is just some old NAPA battery but I had put this battery through all forms of hell and it never let me down. Everything from letting the car sit up for several weeks and discharging it to running my neon kit for several hours. What sucks is I don't know anyone in town right now to bring me to O'Reillys so I get a Redtop battery. So I'm stuck at home for at least a few more hours.

I'm with you on this one, bro. My brand new battery that's only one month old died on me already, bad cell apparently, won't hold a charge even when both terminals were disconnected.

Went to work and the basturds sold the redtop. They had some at another store but I was not sure if they would fit or not so I had to make do with the batteries at my store. It came down to an O'Reilly super start extreme battery or a Delphi Freedom battery. Even though OReilly battery was cheaper (10 dollars), had a prorating, and 60 more CCA.....I ended up going with the Delphi. From working at O'Reilly's I know those super start batteries tend to find their way back home in a few years and I did not want that happening to me. Basically a Delphi is an AC Delco battery so the most I have to watch for is a leaky side post.

the delphi, ac delco, interstate, and all the wal mart batteries around here (and goes I think all teh way to TX) are made at the same plant in GA GNB batteries. When doing car audio they did custom ones for my van, and gave me a tour of teh plant, they don't know what brand battery they are doing until the logo goes on nomally (interstate uses a special case, but internals are the same)
