just installed a flowmaster
i just installed a flowmaster 80 series on my trans am, but i really dont think its worth a sound clip. it isnt as loud as i thought it would be. a flowmaster makes a 3.4 a lot louder, but my LT1 is deeper and growlier...but not as throaty as i'd like.
still sounds good though and really draws heads...you know a V8 is commin
oh and i just reused my stock tips...so pics arent even worth it

Sorry Caleb, but I can't stand how the slushmaster sounds on a 4th gen. I think you would have been MUCH better off just piping it instead. It would been a lot louder and a lot cheaper too...

i was surprised how throatier it made my v6 sound. i had both my cars running today and the camaro with its 2OTL is much louder. doesnt have as nice of a tone but still nice.
and as for gutting the cats...i dont feel like taking them off to do that. the cats on the OBDII are in awkward positions...
i might end up replacing this with maybe a loudmouth...cheap and loud well if i got headers and an ORY with that make the flowmaster sound better?

I'm not a fan of how the Flowmaster sounds on the LT1. LS1s and L36s really sound quite good with it, but something about the LT1's tone doesn't agree with the 80 Series.
Get a Borla or a Magnaflow for your LT1, you'll be happier.
