Moving to Cali, should the 'maro?
Hey all,
On Tuesday I'm driving with a friend out to Cali. I was originally going to fly back, but I've decided to stay. So I guess the question is, do I sell the car and try and buy something out there, or pay to have it shipped? Oh, I live in Michigan now.
By the way, I would drive it out, but I am still sort of new to a manual, and I really don't want to drive the Rockies in it, so that's out.
Any advice y'all could give would be kickass!

drive it out there, prices are much higher out there for everything, driving through the mountains is easy, it's not like your stopping, you may have to downshift a gear if it starts to bog down, but you don't necissarily have to it's not going to stall

I agree with Arch. Like he said going from a stop is the hardest part and this will be the best way to learn who to drive it. When I turned 16 my dad took me out in his Mustang to learn how to drive (It's a 5spd) and I did ok but once I took out my car (also a 5spd) by myself I really learned how to do it.
Don't worry, you'll be fine.
