Need Battery help. Fast.

i was coming home one night (thusrsday), stopped to get a coffee, and my car wouldnt start.. got a boost, and on my way home, everything stopped working.. radio, fan speeds, all dash gauges/lights, etc..

i took the car to school the next morning(with a boost) and me and my teacher looked at it.. we decided it was the battry. i went out, bought a new battery, and i picked up new post connector,s also... put those on, and she fired up. Woo Hoo!!! (this was on thursday)

or so i thought

about 15 mintues ago, i was out, and everything stopped working again.. lights, gauges, radio etc.. i limped the car home, and when i was in my driveway, when the light multiswitch was on, (so the real headlights were on) the battery light came on... but it went off as soon as the headlights went off

turned the car off.. wouldn't turn abck on
i have to be at work at 8:30 tomorrow.. (20 minutes away, no one lives around here that works therE)

Sure as hell sounds like it... Unless the regulator is not built into your Alt. it might just be that... but most are, so yes... sounds like u need a new alternator.

thought so. BUt, when the new battery was put in, we tested it (with the car running) and it was around 14 or 15 volts. wouldn't that mrean the alternator was charging it?

Possibly it might have charged at that moment and then the regulator gave up or cut the charge? But then again did you take a reading of the battery before you put it in? New batteries can also pack quite a punch.
