no, LS7 wont be around much longer from what I heard....new emissions. Thats why GM is workin on the LS8 and LS9 to replace the LS7.

And even then the lt1 and lt5 were completely different motors...not like they were based on the same thing. So basically is was LT1 and LT4

I dont know that much info to tell you....read around on corvetteforums and camaroz28.com if u want to know. All I can tell us one is a DOHC engine and one is a Forced Induction. One goes to the Vette and the other goes to the new Camaro. Thats the huge bet/rumor going around. But it was confirmed on paper that one is a DOHC engine. Kinda weird to see GM finally make a DOHC V8.

the ls7 will be an available option according to popular hot rodding magazine,
the ls7 can't be shut down due ot emissions, in the new z06 it is getting 20+ mpg
