Danielle, i know what you mean, i just wanted to be able to fit more people AND big stuff in the back.
as far as the hood goes, it wouldnt be my first choice if i bought the hood new, however its growing on me a lot. fits well, i think it blends nicely and you dont see it much so its staying for sure. new headlights on the way and fog lights will be soon. looking for a nice hard shell tonneau.

I like the hood. While it wouldn't be my first choice either, I do like it. As far as Dakota hoods go, I like this one the most:
and need I say anything about the excellent color on your truck? I think not.

Sounds good- when you said it wasn't stock I figured typical bolt-ons, but obviously its a little more than that. I'm sure it sounds even better in person just like everything else.
That hood would be perfect if it was just a little more rounded to match the lines of the truck- but thats splitting hairs. Like you said if you were to pick it might be different, but at least its one less thing you have to try and modify.
As far as the hard tonneu cover, I would suggest a nice vinyl one personally. If you want to carry anything higher than the bed then you either have to take the cover off or leave it propped in the air which looks retarded IMO. I'm not sure how often you are going to put stuff in there but if it were me I would go either vinyl or a section hard cover.

well i thought about it and if the truck was black, itd be a soft cover vinyl tonneau for sure, but i think with any colored truck besides black, you need a color matched tonneau. thats just my oppinion, especially on a "sport" truck. plus with my dads hard tonneau i know, it takes 2 guys about 3 minutes to take it off. litteraly snap off the hood props and unhinge it from the front of the bed. i really want a hard tonneau but theyre pretty $$$. well see

Well thats not too bad- I just see too many people driving around with them popped up and I think that looks pretty retarded..
But you're right about the sport truck look- too bad you couldn't color match a vinyl one- I think that would be the best-

My dad has the sectioned one on his Dodge Ram, and that thing is great. He wasn't sure he'd like it at first(came on the truck) but he loves it now. He hated the snap cover he had with the Dodge before this one.

ya for functionality id deff. go with a real nice vinyl cover, although a good looking body matched hard tonneau does SOOO much for a truck like this IMO.

dude is that a 5.9? shoulda consulted with a chrysler certified technician before you made that decision. and by that i mean me.
thats probably the 42RE trans. better throw in at least a 46 if youre running nitrous. and what kinda rear end is it? the dana or the corporate. either one should be fine, but if its the corporate 9.25" i'd replace the carrier before you trac-lock takes a ****. and enjoy fixing the 5.9. those are crap.
i dont like the hood, but overall its a nice truck. youre probably gonna get more now. girls like blue
