yep, Arch and Chad are right. There is a reason those panels crumple up like that. It is what keeps you alive. The impact is mostly taken by the car, not you.

Let me be the one to try to end this. What makes the LS1 so great is it heads and that is it. That is the only part on the LS1 that truly out does the LT1. The LT1 uses the same degree heads (23 I think) that have been used since the 50's. The LS1 uses 15 degree style heads (think NASCAR) which in turn is why the LS1 responds so well to mods. Their is a company on the major Camaro boards that will convert LT1 23 degree heads to 18 degree heads and it is even possible (if you know some good shops) to have your heads converted to 15 degree heads. To do this the intake has to be modified and sometimes the pistons have to be shaved for valve clearance. Do this mod and the LT1 will perform side by side with the LS1.

i still think the lt1 does almost side by side with the ls1..i also think the block is a few cubic inches bigger than the ls1... im not sure but im pretty sure it is...

well the lt1s do not go side by side while stock. and yes the lt1 is a 350 and the ls1 is a 346.

also side by side performance... the lt1 has the ls1 beat in torque.... showing that a lt1 has 325ft/lbs. of tourgue at only 2400rpm's..... and a ls1 only has 335 at 4,000 rpms..... you tell me...... the lt1 is a low end torque monstor... so i would consider them side by side on the low end...

thats rediculous. just cuz its a different rpm doesnt mean its faster. in 1st gear the difference between 2400 rpm and 4000 is 2 seconds. so go ahead, be faster, but in 2 seconds the ls1 will get you.

ha dam ur actually dumer than what i thought man... if you give me 2 seconds out of the whole i will be out outrunning lots of ****.... becuase that 2 seconds will make a humongous difference... i would love to have a spare 2 seconds racing a viper in the 1/8th.... i would be running a 6 something 1/8th........ U GOTA LOVE IT
think before you write.. and get your facts straight...
also your little rpm statement you gota remeber that a m6 has "6" gears not 1...... and a A4 has "4" not 1.... so its in every gear come on think about it...
