Red Line MTL vs. Royal Purple Syncro

Opinions from people who have used either?

I'm leaning towards RL....

I've used redline in my tranny and diff....I noticed an improvement, which i didn't think an oil can do.

I haven't tried the RP stuff yet, but im sure they make a good product also.

Well since this thread has been brought back from the dead..

I bought redline mtl.. In my opinion it's good when its "warmer" outside...

When I install my svt clutchflywheel etc I will be putting in the Royal purple and test that out and make comments.

A BIG thing is also what kind of tranny your using... Read up on your specific car forums on what people use. Many have said Redline would blow my tranny(but many of the "wiser cougar owners" disagree strongly)... but I have abused it constanly so far this summer at the track and only my clutch is the only thing that apears to go.

I read amsoil is good too actually....

Thanks for the replys guys.

Instead of making a new thread I might as well dig up this one from the grave.

I went with a spec clutch and just resurface my flywheel instead of buying a new one...

Well I heard that redline is bad cold conditions.. but this bad?

On some cold mornings we've had in the GTA it's pretty difficult to shift out of first to N upon startup and even shifting is pretty rough. I'm asking if anyone else has had this problem. I'm probably going to switch to RoyalPurple before it gets colder(hopefully LOL).

gm syncromesh +1
Don't know why, it's just the best.
Getting hard to find, lots of GM dealerships are not stocking it anymore
I had to go to Woodbine and 7 to get it.

i use Synthetic 85-90 gear oil ...for LSD its nice and helped me alot....alot of oils including royal i believe dont really have a SHocK* proof for the gears and thats what u want, to stop those grindZZZz...
for non lsd some may think its to thick.. so stick to normal oils
