Well the Valentine 1 is 400 bucks plus another 40 for the concealed display. tax and shipping and i am looking at 500 bucks.

I can get a Harwood 3'' cowl hood for abou the same, or i can get an SLP Ultra Z hood which costs a bit more.

Whatcha think

I'm partial to the cowl hood. Why waste money on a radar detector... just keep your eyes open you're fine.

I was also thinking the hood too. i will NOT get a 4'' cowl its just too big. I dunno if i like the Ultra Z hood anymore either. It just doesnt flow with the lines of the car.

Yea i wont be buying for a little while, but i am really turned off by the Ultra Z hood all of a sudden. It just doesnt flow with the car and i definatley dont want an SS hood because then i will have an SS clone and i dont want that. so I was thinking the 3'' cowl. What else is out there? I have been looking on ebay and all over the net and there are not a lot of hoods for the LS1 camaro.

Check out Speed INC. since you'll be living in Schaumburg you might as well just order it through them and pick it up at their shop.

That's what I'm going to buy but I'm going to have it made in a 2 or 2.5 inch size instead.

I remember you talking about it. Are you gonna leave it red, or make it black like that one?

Make the scoop black. But I'm in no hurry so it won't be for awhile as I want to get a new cam and clutch in first.
