SS Hood ~ Grill Insert?
 

My hood will be done on the 14th, but I still need to find a grill insert for the intake opening on the scoop. I know RK Sport sells a chrome or billet one for like $65.00, and I could just paint it black......but I'm just wondering if anyone knows any other place that sells 'em?

I know I waited till the last minute to ask this, but I forgot all about it. I told him to hold off on cutting out the hole until I have one for it, so the hole doesn't end up being too big. :rolleyes:

Im not sure... All I knew of was RKSport but that is like 50 or 60 dollars isnt it? Why not go to a dealer or GMParts Direct and see how much they will charge?

:D Yep,..... that's exactly the place to go. RK Sport wants $65.00 + S&H = $75.00,.....SLP online wants $60.00 + $15.00 S&H = $75.00,.......and GMParts Direct only wants $41.98 + S&H totaling $51.97

That's almost a $25.00 savings. :eleph: I never even thought about them, so than you very much bro ~ :D

You might want to call around to some salvage yards. They may have what your looking for and it will be a whole lot cheaper.

Yeah,....that would be sweet if a person could find one at a wrecking yard around here. You'd have to get lucky enough to be at the wrecking yard when a Camaro w/a SS hood on it came in. That's a rare opportunity in these parts.

The eBay one would be ok if it weren't missing one of the tabs, but hey....I appreciate you looking around for me. :)

And to answer your question Derek,.....the answer is "Yes"....absolutely what I was looking for, in fact I already went ahead and ordered it. :D
