tire help
i have a bunch of goodyear eagles that i bought after nascar came to town well i was basicly wondering if i could use them for drag slicks? can a stuff i 12.5 by 27 inch tire under the rear of my thirgen? and if so i also was wondering where in nascar they pritty much go around a continuos corner will on side of the tires be worn more than the other? they got plenty of life to them but didnt know if there mishapen?

no they will not fit. too wide and that tire is not technically a "drag slick". a drag tire has a sidewall that will wrinkle as it gains traction and the car launches, however these tires are made for cornering. while the compound will prolly stick the car to the ground extremely well, i'd say youd be better off using a drag radial or something such as a Mickey Thompson ET Street tire for the drag strip.

well it depends what kinda wheels you run. i beleive a 17x11 wheel such as what a lot of people run on 4th gens with 315 tires, is the widest you can go but youll need a wheel spacer and it might stick out far and look goofy. check out thirdgen.org. there will proly be a lot of people there who know all that stuff for thirdgens.
