went to Great Lakes Dragaway last night for Real Street Drags. it was a funass time. me and a few buddies went up, met chad and others and i personally had a blast. didnt break anything and finally am somewhat content with my car.

i beleive its got a lot left in it, im still running a completely bone stock suspension. had the nittos set at about 22 psi and did a decent burnout everytime, did 2 runs without nitrous and like 4 or 5 with. bottle pressure at about 960 for all the N2O runs. heres my best.....

13.3 at 105 with 2.0 60' without nitrous

and....

13.1 at 111 with 2.2 60' with nitrous

i was spraying first gear and launching about 3k, slipped the clutch a bit then hammer and dump it and then spray kicks in at 3200 and i usually started spinning right when the window opened. i gotta work on my nitrous launches but it was a fun time and i have a low 13 second t/a without nitrous, i know 12s are doable with the juice for sure and i think some more launch practice i could snag some 12s without the juice. BTW i was running on a stock tune with a wet 75 shot.

MPH shows you got 12's in it. Need to get the suspension dialed in and work on the launches. Nice runs!

nice dude! maybe dont run nitrous until u get up to a little higher speed? would that help? get that suspension dialed and a tune and you'll be set for the most part. you keep your subs in or take em out when u went?

When I saw the first four people just have absolutly horrible launches I knew it wasn't going to be a night for break records. All you need is that one clean launch and you'll be in the 12's. Like Jim said, the MPH shows you have a solid 12 second car.

Yea with those speeds you should def be able to get into the 12s with a good launch. Awesome man!

I definetly think you can go 12.8 or so with the juice. Much better times than before! I bet it finally feels worth it huh?

Have you ever thought about stepping up to the 100 shot jets? I've been running them from the beginning without any issues at all. Maybe you could fab up a first gear lock out which will stop a big portion of the spinning in first gear.

Get that 60ft down to a 1.8 and you should be able to get into the 12s N/A.
Do you still have your front sway bar hooked up? For track use, Take the end links out and tie it up out of the way. It will help out your launches quite a bit.

im really thinking with a bit more practice a 12 should be doable without the juice for sure. i cut a 2.0 and managed a 13.3 so a 1.8 should be a high 12 for sure.

i gotta get used to launching with the nitrous and kinda just get a system down. while i wasnt doing bad at all i know i got a lot left to squeeze out of it.

and i have the nitrous works kit which has 75, 125, 150 and 175. i had the 125 jets in before i was gonna go and switch last minute just to be safe, cause im still on the stock tune. also im running a crappy paper filter.

i think with a K&N, dyno tune in a few weeks, and a bit more practice a 12 should be doable for sure, and once i get the car dialed in as far as that go, ill pop the 125 jets in and see if i can bust an 11. eeeeek! if not, theres always 150.haha j/k, prolly wont do that, if i do it will be for one run maybe, but this **** is addicting so i prolly wont. i feel like tyron biggims, the crack addict from Chappelle show. i gotta lay off the juice.haha. its pretty safe tho so im not too worried about 125 shot, especially with the retarded timing, colder plugs and window switch and god know what else i put under the hood to not blow up. i need a fire extinguisher tho.hehe, just for safety's sake.

anyways, im very satisfied now, but i know i got more, so we'll see how it goes. thanks for the positive comments guys

and about spraying 1st gear, it wasnt spinning THAT terribly basically only right in the 60' and it was hurting my launches a tiny bit, but not too bad, so i figured if i can spray in 1st, why the hell shouldnt i keep doing it. we'll see, time, practice and experience. ive only ran it 4 times with nitrous so far, so im happy for now.

Dang, that's some nice time bro! I didn't get to see you run at all. I saw your car parked near Chad's, but never got to meet ya. I think it was when I first got there that I saw you car. Then Joe wanted to run me, and when I returned it wasn't there. Definitely gotta calm down and meet more of you guys instead of anxiously wanted to keep racing lol..

thats a nice NA time there, if you dont have DR's maybe a set of bfg's would help you on the n2o runs, and if your only on street tires dont do a burnout, go around the water box and just spin the tires enough to clean them, if you heat up street tires they actualy get worse because of the harder rubber compound just turns to butter
