nitto DR's. 315-35-17s on 17" zr1s. i wanna try dropping to around 18 psi and see how she does, do a longer burnout and also launch from a higher rpm. im hoping these things will lead to a better hook, as well as no bogging at all, no spinning obviously and a quicker launch overall. we'll see, i gotta play a bit.

yep i was heating them up decently but not as long as i shoulda. everyone i talked to said nittos absolutley love heat and need to be heated for a good 5-10 seconds. i only smoked them for about 2-3 seconds, but its gonna take a few more visits before i can get real consistent.

well theres a point where it wont help, it will just waste your tires. overall tho, heating a street tire for a few seconds will help, but only to an extent. since nittos are a drag radial they like more heat than a standard radial, but still, not as much heat as a wrinkle wall slick.

Basically all your need with street tires is enough to clean them off.
Judging by your mph's I know your car has a lot better time in it Matt. I bet with the suspension set-up and a perfect lauch, mid 12's shouldn't be out of the question at all.
