update on c10 project *pics 12/2/07
well. i finally got around to doing something to my truck. got the lowering springs for it if you didn't already know. gonna be a while before i put them on but w/e. took my driver side fender and inner fender off. realized my driver fender is no good so now i have to order both fenders and inner fenders. oh well. make it more of a restoration i guess. in one pic you can see how bad my floor is....my rockers are solid but i have no inner rocker panels.. hmm. i need to order new bed sides as well but at the price of them i wont be for a while. at least til im done with the suspension and the rest of the body. ill be ordering a flip kit for the rear end pretty soon, along with new shocks. that will make it good for a 3" front 5" rear drop. eventually i will get new spindles for the front and shackles in the back to make it a 5" 6" drop. let me know what you think of my plans. just took out my steering shaft, wire wheeled it to bare cast and painted it. looks like i just payed 200 bucks for it haha. i plan on doing that will all the stock suspension and steering components im keeping stock just to make it look all new. this winter im going to be doing the frame also

hmmm. maybe have the top chopped about 2" while im at it. nah i dont really like that look. so my plans for the winter are to POR 15 the whole frame, wire wheel all my stock suspension and paint it all then new bushings. lower it, new shocks. then ill go on to the brakes and possibly upgrade my steering box but they are so damn expensive. i really dont like turning my wheel like 4 full rotations to turn all the way though, especially since it doesn't have tilt wheel. but yeah. eventually...its gonna be awesome. gonna take my time with this one and do it the right way.

heres what i did friday night. started out how it was in the last pics i had. 4 hours and 2 monster energy drinks later i accomplished to remove the hood, both fenders and inner fenders, bed floor, rear bumper, exhaust, and other random **** that was on the frame that annoyed me aka stock exhaust hangers...etc. passenger fender was all bondo...damn cheap people. guess thats another 165 bucks down the drain lol.theres a couple pics of my new belltech shocks as well. finally looked up my engine casting #'s...good news. its a 67-79 or somethin 350 4 bolt main. 185hp. also tried out a new cab corner. i dont like how that would turn out so im gonna save up for a new cab. perfect to build off of. parked it in the back yard and the next day its covered with like 1/8" of ice. ****. oh well it will melt eventually lol.
