Post Very good news about the dent.

I talked to a guy who runs a local custom shop, he is friends with my store manger and comes in O'Reillys a lot. He came by today and I asked him if he would not mind looking at my car so I could get an estimate on how mucch it would cost to repair my car. We went outside and looked at my car and I asked him how much to repaint the car, pull the dent and do some odds and ends around the car. He told me 1200+ and that was it. I'm so happy cause 1200 really isn't that bad of a price at all, time to get off my butt and buy some rims and a new hood.

that's not bad for the new metal, the older cars could be metal finished to a point where filler was almost not needed new ones are so thin it won't happen

new cars (starting mid 80's or so) were made thinner to meet fuel economy requirements (pull a panel off your car and off Mikes car and yours will be half as thick) plus they did some changing of the concoction adding different amounts of different metals to make a stronger lighter steel, teh problem is it doesn't go bake into shape as well
