i would go vortec over procharger. with a procharger kit you get all these diffrent plastic pipes that connect the kit together, and in anyone of those pieces you can have a boost leak.
i dunno, it ups to you but od your research first, in the shop we made more hp with vortec kits than the prochargers. kenne bell; we also did a lot of and they made great power too.
btw, how much are those wheels???

I think you know which way my vote would swing...I don't street race, but having the power is still fun- it makes the twisting back-roads that much more fun.
My advice is simple. Do what YOU want. Not what a bunch of other people want you to do. Also- I'm not going to recommend one thing over another just because I don't know anything about the other products in the same market.
Do some reading- Procharger makes really nice kits that make plenty of power. Also- since Procharger uses AIR/AIR cooling they are easier to install instead of AIR/WATER which require more plumbing.
The only place that AIR/WATER typically make more power is on a dyno or the strip strictly because you can load it with ice. But for your typical DD AIR/AIR is a much better way to go.
Chad- my vote, if money were no object, would be a blower. There is something about being able to play with the throttle and change that blower whine that makes driving a lot more fun. Its hard not to drive around with a cheesy smile on your face all the time!! Not too mention you get more power, but its not going to affect your gas mileage as much unless you are in the throttle- so if you drive like there's a cop behind you, you will actually get the same mileage if not better.

hehe understandable. my vote gets blower or heads and cam. your car is already sexy as hell. IMO those wheels onlye fit on T/As. camaros need 5 spokes or 10 spokes but i only like those multispoke designs on T/As and some 3rd gens look nice with them. black ZR1s FTW tho on your car.

the air/water kit i installed was way easier than any procharger kit ive done. i agree with you though, a blower or a turbo kit.

Depends on which kit you get- the ones with the dual coolers can be labor intensive, but I personally prefer air to air.
Chad- if you go blower you can also ditch the billet grill and just let a nice big intercooler take its place. Too bad you're so far away- I would fab it up for you since it would be hard to do yourself workin all the time- esp with your DD. The fact that I have two other vehicles to drive besides the Z lets me take my time with all my projects- its really helping right now!!

Right now everything's on hold, one of the guys from LME(Late Model Engineering) is finishing up a roots style blower for the LS1 FBody. I talked to him some today and he's going to be getting back to me on the final price. If everything looks good I'll ditch all the other ideas and go for this because this is what I've always wanted.

Google it-
Centrifugal- think new style blower- look like a conch(sp) shell
Roots- old skool blower style that typically stick up thru the hood- also stock on Lightnings and 03+ Cobras

I like the roots because it's instant power, it's made more for under the curve power while a centrifugal is made more for all out power. So basicly I won't have the highest HP with this type but I'll have the best one for driving around. As soon as I tap the gas pedal it's on full boost.
