'up front' as in going to the bank and getting the money first...

what about an Audi A4 1.8T Quattro? its in your price range, and with $8K worth of mods you could get it looking really nice and it would not be hard at all to make fast.

and like scottyp said, "fast with class" :thumbsup

you should get a 1.8T. it's your first choice and a good one since you seem to be a fan anyways.

LS1. 300hp golf with weight reduction is much more fun to drive.

If I were you, I'd be looking into an Audi A4 (like Tom suggested), or a 1994 Miata (1994 is the best year IMO)... or a 1997 or 1998 240SX.

I've never seen an Audi 1.8T Quattro for 10-14k, but that car would get my vote if you could find it in your price range.

Or should I clarify.. nothing with low mileage in that price range.

I disagree completely.. I only buy higher mileage cars because I can't afford newer ones. Not only has the car been "lived in" a lot longer, defiled, whatever word you'd like to use, the engine, tranny, brakes, EVERYTHING will have thousands of km's on it. Plus I doubt you'd want to spend 15 grand on a car just to rebuild the engine already..

voltar will become famous soon enough
Keep in mind the m ost important part is the frame after many KMs things wear out in addition to midnighters comments gotta factor in the paint even the paneling, and namely the frame. Avoiding high KMs is main priority i think it's better to go for a car a year or two older rather then take high KMs.

ya but somthing below 120 KM should be alright

the years that a 1.8T quattro i would be able to afford are 1997-1999

crap? if u know that integras are jdm crap then why are u askin about them? Anyways, I've had a 96 LS a 99 GSR and now I have a 00 GSR. Next will probably b an 01 R. I sold those cars cuz i got really good offers on them. And every time, i found myself gettin another one. Theyre good on gas and insurance. Very slow depreciation in value. And they have very good potential all around, whether u wanna do drag racing, circuit racing, or just showing off and picking up chicks.

I say your get the Audi 1.8T Quattro ..u have the backing up of the quattro in the snow and for the whole shot (your gonna need it if your runnin 300bhp).. and its a very nice and well built car all around.. but if there not in your price range or styll get a 2000 Integra GSR .. there the only jap that i would concider buyin ..but my vote is with the Audi ..
