I'm kind of sad the whole engine build idea went down the drain (even after I have already purchased an engine stand). I'm now looking for some way to mod my car but I'm not sure where to start, any ideas?

what do you want performance or looks? performance get a cheap daily driver pull the heads have them done get a cam port the intake (I say get a daily driver because the car will be out of commission a few weeks to do everythig)do the exhaust, upgrade the wireing to the fuel pump and ground

Car needs to be able to be driven everyday and I think I could drop around $1500 without at this time without a problem

i would say find a way to go without it for a while, and drop in a cam, do some head work, and some injection system upgrades.
