the japs make a nicer car man... tighter specifications, tighter quality control, all around better car until recently where all domestic are starting to realize if they dont start tightening up on quality, the japs are gunna take over

You could get a decent first gen DSM (90-94 Talon/eclipse) for 3 thousand.
Stock turbo (if you get the TSI... dont bother with N/a) or if your lucky can find a Tsi AWD for that price.

Ford 5L

Cant lose

BUT, out of all of those, id go with a VW or civic. Tons of parts, you can work on them yourself

i say grab a golf, despite wat people may say, they are the most reliable car out there, unfortunately when they do break down tho, its a pretty penny to fix.

I love my car, but i wouldnt suggest buying one.

i work in a shop, so I can get parts cheap and labour is free. I just recently had to replace both O2 sensors and a cat. Earlier this year i had to put on a new disty (common problem).

For reliability, by all means, go import. Even though a probe TECHNICALLY is an import, it isnt built as well as a little honda motor.
