Wheel weights...

i posted last week about the fight with my boss over compression fittings for brake lines.... Today i am balancing tires for an '01 pathfinder and the last wheel calls for 6.5oz's on the outside so i spin the tire 180degrees to try and make it less and it calls for 9.00oz's. I tell my boss there is no lin way that im putting 9 ounces weight on one side and he says its fine and goes and does it. No , more then a third of the wheel was weighted. Is there a maximum amount of weight allowed per side when balancing.

I'm not sure, but it sounds like something is way off. Once i had readings like that balancing my own tires, but it was cause i had it on the balacer wrong. Simple fix..

Nothing was off, weights, wheel measurments, everything was checked over and over again, it was just a bad tire... as for the butcher part.....i agree, whenever he stays away from me its fine and my gets done. the rest of the time is a complete dog ing session casue you cant work alongside this tool.
