Question Where do you put your jack stands?

Just curious, I know you lift the front of the car by placing a jack under the crossmember and you lift the rear by using the rear axle housing. My question is where do you put the jack stands?

for the front I put jackstand under the A-arm mount and for the rear i put it right under the control arm mount on the chassis, not axle. i dont jack it from the crossmember and i dont jack it from the rear. theres little lips on the sides that youre supposed to jack from.

I would never use them anyway. I have heard way too many bad things about them

Where exactly are these lips? My Chilton manuals tells me to jack from those two points and menitions nothing about lips.

My subframe connectors came in handy today, they make a great place to put jackstands.
