Winter Plans/Spring Plans

Well not alot is happenin out here on the forum lately so i thought i would start up a thread and see if we can get some convo's going. Just basically as the title says what's your winter/spring plans for you car? any car in general.

Personally the malibu gets the following done to it for sure:
Tach installed
Grant Steering wheel installed
C/D Player and a custom radio bezel
Rear Deck Speakers possibly new rear deck shelf
Amp for the rear deck
Air Conditioning reinstalled and recharged
trunk carpet kit
new springs

mostly just sound stuff and driveability stuff. It needs the brakes worked over and some suspension things but all these should be done so i can do some distance traveling next summer for car shows!

so yeah what are you plans?

Install white face gauges that I finally found the macewen ones for 6rs. A cat for sure, and maybe a cat back, prolly not tho. Will prolly do new swaybars and some small interior stuff instead.

Honestly I dont really have any plans at this point. Im not sure where I wnat to go with my car. The only thing I want for looks is the harwood, which is out of my price range atm. I just need to fix all the little things over winter. I just want to drive it again... I cant wait until april.

I might have to take apart the dash to get the fuel and oil pressure gauge lights working, so I might put in a overlay by the gauges if I can find one I like.

I'm going to keep my 79 formula to restore up since they seem to be going up in value and less common in that body style, But for me having one vehicle that I could drive all year and still have fun with. Thats why I am planning on going with an Avalanche after i get rid of the 99 and my integra for the suv/truck versatility plus there are many mods for it incase I get the mod bug with it.

Someday down the road I will get another bird or maybe I might go over to the camaro side but for now having one vehicle that I drive would make it a lot more better financially.

Once it warms up to redo my rear seat delete using fiberglass, then cover the entire interior with black leather.
Tint windows
That's really about it, at that point I'll be really happy with the car.

Finish the build on my motor and hopefully get a 9in before the spring time so I can finally drive it again

Chad I'll let you know how my interior wrapping job comes out. Maybe you can use the same place. I can tell you I spoke with about 8 different interior shops about covering my panels. Of them only 2 were willing to do it. Most either said it was impossible, or they weren't interested in doing the work. Project Two customs in Waukesha would do it. But they were talking $2500-3000.

http://www.jaxseatcover.com/ is in Milwaukee and they are the ones who are doing mine. I pick them up next week, and before I give a price, I'll let you know how they look. But they are big F-body/GN people. The owner and his wife have like 7 Firebirds all different years and are very cool people.

I think the 3rd gen interior panels are more complicated then the 4th gen panels.
